The weekend starts in 30 minutes, thank god....

So the Vermont/Montreal trip for Oct 20-23 is all set up, which is a relief and gives me time to sit back with anticipation. So it's not a true vacation, but it's kind of one, so that's good enough for now. I could only use my timeshare in Vermont, as we waited last minute to make plans and most places don't have vacancies. And I still have 22,000 bonus timeshare points that I need to use or else lose once the year is up. I still have the original 35,000 points I get every year, but I can bank those to use for next year. So I'm trying to figure out a way to go on yet another pseudo vacation before the year is up. Even if I have to use it nearby and can't find anyone to go, I'll still do it and by myself. The Vermont/Montreal trip is going to be pretty cheap though. The timeshare is free, then I found a place in Montreal for only $81/night, and the car rental (we don't want to put more miles on our own) is only $55 cuz I have a $40 voucher for Enterprise. Add on gas prices, and it should only be around $200 per person (it's just Nancy and I so far). Food can be done cheap...plus I'll see what chains they have around and try and get gift cards through my credit card cashback points so we won't have to pay for a meal or two. Hmn, or maybe it's too late for that. Well anyhow, I still have that free ice cream coupon from McDonalds due to me from the Watkins Glen trip, lol.

Mmmm, speaking of ice cream, Ben & Jerry's factory here I come! Besides that, Vermont will just be for foliage scenery. Then in Montreal I'm hoping to hit the casino and the botanical garden. I still have to research that city and see what else there is, find what clubs/bars are good. We don't plan on partying much though, this is more for relaxation and to get away. I've never really been to true Canada, only the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. Oh, and an airport in Newfoundland during a stopover to German when I was a kid. It was cold there. I saw a moose. Yeah, that's all I remember, lol.

Next weekend seems to be void of any plans. And it's my birthday, too. I've opted to have my party/outing the weekend afterwards, as everyone will be too preoccupied with Halloween to focus on my birthday. I was invited to a halloween party but I'm not sure if I want to go. It'd be cool if I could find something to do with my timeshare that weekend, but it's too short notice I'm sure.

Whoa, I just wasted 20 minutes and it's almost time to go. I'm meeting up with dad for a quick minute, then going to eat dinner at the Skylark with Nancy and some other people. That just reminded me, I still need to find someone to do German food with. Nobody knows what the food is like so they're scared to try it, which is funny cuz the food is so "normal" (not spicy, not experimental, simply meat, potatoes, and some flavor). I need to expose someone to the world of schnitzel and spatzle. Mmmm, kase spatzle. I'm hungry now.
