"There would never be room for an onigiri in a Fruits Basket."

I've been re-reading (and re-watching) Fruits Basket. . . and that line from Tohru has always stuck with me.

Anyway. . . I'd been mulling over the vendor idea, mainly because I have a ton of stuff left. I thought, if I had 100 of those small watercolor portraits, plus the prints and whatnot I'd have enough to fill booth space. It's not so farfetched since I have 24 of them on hand at the moment and ideas for another 16-20 at least. Ha! It IS one of the dumber fantasies I've had lately. If they raise the prices at the same rate it will probably be out of my reach. As I recall, vendor space was $185 plus $20 if you needed to rent a table. Alley space was $85 (up from the $50 or so I'd paid in 2013). Considering I was lucky to gross around $500 in the alley the last time I went I'd be hard-pressed to break even in among the vendors, particularly if the cost goes up.

These are a couple of lithographs I'd done a while back that I decided to hand-color. This one is a couple of sandpipers. I had worked from photos I'd shot at a park outside Lahaina, Maui.

This is Smaug. I'm not finished with this one yet. A lot of those scales will need to be painted individually. I will put them up for sale eventually. For whatever that's worth. . .

I'd be the onigiri that dropped on the floor. . .
