5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.

From writingwoman

1. When did you know that John was "the one"?

- Well, the day I met him, he flirted with me for about five minutes. I didn't know his name or if I'd ever see him again. In fact, two other guys asked me out that day....but when I called my mom, I told her "Yeah, I have a couple of dates with some guys, but I met this gorgeous brownie-brownie...he's like a smiley bear, Mom..and I think I'm going to date him." The next time I saw him, we talked for about an hour at a party...and the next night we talked for two hours on the phone (after I had a date with another guy). I think that by the time that phone conversation ended, I knew that I could marry him.

And I knew he was "The One" when I got all the way to the alter and didn't run...as I have been known to do in the past.

2. What musicians are your favorites, and/or what musicians have been influential in your life?

- Nicole Nordeman is my favorite singer/songwriter of all time...followed by Carol King (singer/songwriter), Kris Kristofferson (singer/songwriter), Etta james (singer), Billie Holliday (singer) and I never get tired of listening to Josh Groban.

3. Where is your happy/safe place? (bookstore, coffee shop, etc?)

- In life, it's generally driving in my car on the open road (going back to high school). (Stress makes me want to 'get away.') In my house, "my space" is an old stuffed armchair in the corner of the dining room with a lamp my mom gave us and a large chest filled with my crochet stuff.

4. Where do you want to live out your "senior" years?

- In a house with a wrap-around porch...and fertile soil for my garden...and trees and a sunset you can see clearly....nearby my grandkids.

5. What goals or wishes do you have for yourself (your life, your future, your marriage, etc)?

Future - HA - so many: 1- Be a better wife and friend...oh and I'd love to get my tiny daily-routine goals accomplished, 2- my house set up to be a cozy haven for me, my friends and my family, 3- be a good mother, 4- write one good novel, 5- make music for as long as I have a voice, 6-2,000...well, etc.

Marriage - I guess, in the end, I just want to continue to grow in the spiritual connection, openness, trust, sensuality, friendship, support and fun of the marriage we have now.

Life - To one day love Christ with all my heart, soul and mind...and to love other people as I love myself
