So lately I made a movie for acting. And I REALLY liked making it. And now I'm graduating. Which means that friends and relatives that I've never met are sending me "happy graduation" cards that usually include a nice little check or gift card. So here's my dilema:
do I:
a: cash and spend now.
b: save for college
c: spend it on myself to go towards my own digital camcorder and digital editing program.
Option a is definently out because that would just be stupid. B is the practical thing to do. C I would REALLY like to do. But I just don't know if it's practical. So far I've gotten $130 from grad cards. The whole camera set would cost about $250 for a camera, $90 for an editing system and $20 for a camera/computer hook-up. (these are estimates) This comes to about $360. On average. Yikes. Ouch. Expensive.
And while this is something that I would LOVE to do and have, is it really practical? I mean, with college coming and all? Would I really use it that much at college? But GFU does have a film festival in the spring that I would LOVE to participate in. Hmm... dilema. I need help and advice! Do I go practical or go for something fun that I really want? Sigh.
