Dinner at Alter Nativ with my grandparents

So my grandparents came for a two weeks visit from France. But of course I only got to see them twice, thanks to my lovely family.
Anyway, we went to this restaurant in center Tel Aviv, one of the few that were both Kosher and open after Sabbath (and not too cheap/small/stinky).

My grandparents didn't quite get why I needed to take pictures of my food, but I did anyway.

Goat cheese, apples, sweet pecans and cranberries on a simple baby leaves, lettuce and carrots mix. It was by far, the best salad I've ever had in my life, to my surprise.

Potato filled gnnochi , swimming in a sweet cream and pecans sauce. This was delicious, but I got bored and dazed from the quantities of cream in it halfway through, and couldn't convince myself to finish. My grandmother didn't mind helping me.

My grandmother's dish- Aubergine lasagna. She said it was great, go figure.

My grandfather ordered grilled fish and a mushroom pene, but wouldn't let me take any pictures.

Desert:

Apple "crumble" with a vanilla ice cream that was brutally snatched from the plate before I could take my picture, by my grandmother.

Cheese cake.

They both looked way better than they tasted, unfortunately. The cheese cake was half-frozen and the apple crumble was a bit dull.
