What dreams may come

A few nights ago I had a very curious dream, one I have had no luck interpriting. At a party a woman's best friend aproached me and confessed the love held by her silent partner by asking "how could I not have known". After I was asked I was filled with the familiar fear of opportunities past, not because I was asked but because I hesitated in answering. how does one respond and not bring a match to that bridge?
The second mystery consisted of why my mind chose the familiar faces it did. Do those chosen have anything to do with the overall issue being worked out, or was it truely random?
