Thanks to joculum, desultorie, and purple_mark for letting me know -- I can see the image just fine from my end (on Safari and Firefox both) but apparently no one else can -- I suspect the source-image is password-protected. Apparently I have to be a paying member of LJ to upload images directly to the site. I was able to upload it on my Facebook page, though, a few days ago:
The image itself is by Alex Grey. You can see the most recent version of it plus how it evolved on alexgrey.com, though you have to look for it (Grey's website has no internal URLs).
