It seems that the cat was the best actor. Odd, in a film with Michelle Pfeiffer (Frances Price) and Imogen Poots, both fine actresses. The script was not funny enough for a comedy. Here goes. A once rich woman sails to Paris with her drippy son to spend her final days. Her son appears to exist merely to walk around, and by the age of 25 (30?) has accomplished nothing other than to get engaged. The cat may be the reincarnation of Frances Price's husband.
Bizarre that we are asked to credit her with giving a quarter of a million Euros to a dosser. Or that three strangers will share a bed in her living room.
