The A.V referendum is in exactly six months time. How do I know? Because those nice people at Yes to a fairer vote sent me an e-mail. This (if it goes through) will change the British (for which read English) political landscape forever. The Liberals are calling in the favour of propping up Cameron and his Tories. The price? One can never again take for granted landslides. In terms of psephology there will be a move towards the centre - not the mythical middle England that heralded in a seismic shift to destroying civil liberties under Blair and Brown but Liberal middle England. Clegg will be laughing all the way to the bank, errrrr, polling booth.
