Walk4Justice 2008
A couple of years ago, a woman came into the library to go through newspapers and gather info on the women missing from a highway in northern BC, the Highway of Tears. That was the first I heard of this but it's been going on for decades.
Walk4Justice 2008 is the second year, I think, people have walked from Vancouver to Ottawa. On Sept 15, they'll be at Parliament Hill and hand over a petition to the prime minister asking for public inquiries into the 3000+ women missing and murdered across the country.
