Back from Extinction

This story about the comeback of an Aboriginal nation is fascinating. Sums up the treatment of the people as subhuman and the pattern of colonists valuing progress over people. My grandfather helped build the Grand Coulee Dam and was proud of the accomplishment. If all the Sinixt people had succumbed to disease and alienation, I wouldn't have heard another view and it sounds like that nearly happened.

Chewy stuff...with a happy ending!
