that movie with initials carved into a sea turtle
How fun to be part of something larger.
Many years ago, I mentioned to Amber a movie I saw as a kid in which a boy carved initials into a young sea turtle and then the last shot of movie was this big, grown sea turtle swimming with the initials still visible. I remember that it felt deep, very heavy.
Amber and I just cruised past Blue Lagoon on TV and she thought maybe it ended with the sea turtle with the initials. I googled and discovered that the movie we'd both seen was a 1978 TV movie, The Bermuda Depths. The Lore section at the end states that a generation of children saw the movie and were struck by it. And I believe it!
