I went by Target today. It seemed a little busier than normal. Everyone was polite. No one was going postal, yet. Here are some Items that are out of stock or low.
- Toilet paper was completely gone. You can always use paper towels.
- Mac & cheese running low
- canned soup is emptying out
- Pasta and rice is dwindling down
- come on man, not the bottled water
- only a few cans of tuna left, get them while you can
- Oatmeal, hurry up man
- diapers, poor babies
- hand soap, going going, almost gone
- laundry detergant is disapearing
A lot of people are talking about toilet paper and Where it ran out or where you can still buy some. I'm glad I stocked up over the past few weeks. And No, I'm not a prepper. I just saw the warning signs and decided to start stalking up on some items about a month ago. Canceling all flights to and from China, China Quaranting 700 million people which is about twice the population of the U.S., Northern Italy being shut down was a huge alarm bell. Am I over-reacting? Who knows. I just felt it was better to be safe than sorry and to prepare.
But How long will this last? Will shortages end soon, after people go through a panic phase or will shortages be a new norm for a little while? That is the question.
And everything is being canceled. Seems a little crazy. All professional sports. I feel a little bad about March Madness being canceled. For some college athletes March Madness is the highest point they will ever get. A lot of them won't become professional athletes. I haven't heard anything about canceling high school sports yet.
