OMG! Another "Obligitory" yet not obligitory post!

I actually want to post this one... weird

Im a hardcore nerd/geek/gamer whatever you call me...
I work in retail, I might be the guy memorising your credit card number/details/expiration date and signature. Or the guy who is checking out your girlfriend as you enter the store (you can diss Door Greaters all you want, truth is we can 'perv' at almost anyone and simply say we were doing our job as security).
Anyway, at work the other day I had this customer who was heavily into wargaming, and i slowed my que up by chatting with them a little more than usual. I was still doing my work but it was more fun, and slow. Before you start hating "when that happens" just remember that the person serving you is a person too, and they have to serve that que all bloody day, so its just a helpful thing to be friendly with them. Or they will memorise your creditcard, subscribe you to porn, and freely hand out the membership details...

Work is a paradox. In some ways its fun, and I can stand around on quiet days doing nothing. And sometimes its a major pain because you have to deal with the public... classic examples are people who try and return something without record of purchase... 11 years after we stopped stocking said item... yeah... "WHAT THE?"

-Some guy who works in retail... Have a great day

***by the way I wouldn't remember a credit card number, purely because I dont want my ass in jail with the name Bubba written on it with a scalding BIC... blah blah blah creative licsence, none of this really happens, its all a lie, whatever gets me out of litigation clauses are right here!
