1) date yesterday was more fun than a hot dog bun
ate some artery-clogging fish and chips (england's finest)
saw some wondertwins on the bus (surreal)
went to a party full of haters (always fun)

2) had a lazy sunday with lynda
we walked all the way to haight-ashbury and had breakfast
lots of window shopping and looking for costumes
ran into a member of the dream team
san francisco is a small city. you run into people constantly.
BTW: OCTOBER 28th, costume party, my place.

3) i want a fixie. (single speed bicycle)
its beautiful in simplicity, and really is a great way
to get around San Francisco, and just enjoy a ride
problem is, they aint cheap. ill have to "double my efforts."
4) char once said about me:
"JT, you are either way up or way down. no consistency."
(in reference to my love life/dating status)
and its completely true. i'm on an upswing lately
and i hope it stays this way for a while.
5) mark fredrickson once said to me:
"my type of girl...is the type that likes ME."
and more sublime words have never been spoken.
its time to appreciate what fortune saw fit to send your way.
dont ignore whats in front of you because you are too busy
looking for the DREAMGIRL/DREAMGUY that movies
and magazines have told you that you need to be with.
unrealistic standards and surface aesthetics.
find someone who gets you
find someone who sees all the good in you
and dont give the light of day to those that criticize you
understand that you arent perfect
thus, dont expect your significant other to be so.

why did it take so long? i'm such a slow learner.
7) i hate it when lynda's right. the new sean lennon album is so good.
i guess you really DO need to suffer to be able to achieve greatness
he wrote this album after his gf bijou phillips slept with his best friend
and then his best friend DIED before they could reconcile! ....drama.
you havent lived until someone shatters your heart into a thousand shards.
you wont know what it means to be alive. pain lets you know you are alive
and not just drifting along. after you wallow in self-pity, anger, hatred, and ennui
you'll start to grow. it's like when neo starts to believe, or when obi wan tells
luke skywalker he's taken his first step into a whole larger world.
it may take months or years to recover from something fucked up.
rejection, failure, death of a loved one, serious illness, house burns down, rape,
you name it. and some may never heal. but should you survive, life truly begins.
when you are whole again, the world is different to you. you can do things you couldnt
and you see things you didnt. youll understand. youll stop wasting time.
my life didnt truly begin until 2005. what did i do before?
