Okay, I know you're upset about this, and I probaby shouldn't be saying this, but how can you say that we can't really understand what you're going through because we've never been to YOUR house? My family has lived in the same house for over 30 years! I was born and raised in that house. ALL of my memories are there! It is MY HOME! Everytime my parents talked about moving, it killed me. And when college rolled around and I had to move into the dorms, it killed me even more! Everything I know and love is in Canton. So you cannot honestly say that I don't know how you feel. Yes, moving is going to be hard I grant you that. But you know, what they say is true. Home is where your heart is. So if your heart is connected to a house, a physical thing that can be destroyed in a second, then I honestly feel sorry for you. Because my HOME is where the people that I love are. The bright side is that you are going to still be in the Lansing area. You will still be around all of your friends. And you could possibly move into a house that has a huge pool where you could have lots of parties! And yes a piece of you will always be in that house, I cannot deny you that either. It hurts right now, I know this, but the pain will lessen over time and eventually you will be able to cherish the memories that you made in this house. As a friend once told me "Things like this are the stepping stones to our future. Without them, we aren't who we are." You'll get through this Marcus. I believe in you. And I apologize for being so harsh, but I'm trying to get you to look at this in a different light. I'm trying to help.
As for thinking about what I'm going to do when my parents are gone, yes I've thought about it. Yeah I'll be devistated, but I know I won't be alone in this "cold cold world." The love that they gave me and the wisdom that they instilled upon me while they were here will live on in me! And I will in turn pass these things on to my children, keeping the memory of my parents alive. And my parents will live on forever!
