If I could be...Who you wanted

Where should I begin? so much has happened in the last couple of months that I don't know what to say first. Today I cleaned out what used to be my old room downstairs. We had to rip up the carpet because the dog urine and feces were overpowering. We ended up picking up most of the large things and throwing them into plastic bags. Threading from the carpet was stuck to the floor when we peeled it up. There's also permanent water damage to the wood panelling on one wall, but that's not Darlene's fault. But everything else she left in the room to rot is her fault. I don't understand how someone can choose to live in such filth. I'll admit that I didn't always keep my room clean, but at least there wasn't anything in my room that posed a health threat. Jamie's girlfriend and I went to Wally World to pick up a mop and bucket along with a bottle of bleach and Mr. Clean. (Because it just seems so fitting.) I started mopping the floor with bleach when Jamie and Vicki left. I was done with the second mopping by the time they got back from dinner. I had an amazing feeling of accomplishment. I honestly believe that if Jamie and Vicki weren't moving in there, I would take that room for myself and not have a problem with breathing.

In other news, I have a story to relate to bring you all up to speed.

The summer of last season. Working in Groton. Talking to D'anne from Westerly. It was quite convenient that I was staying at a hotel about 15 minutes away from her house. One night we went to see They Might Be Giants in Boston. It was a great show and I had a great time afterwards. We all went to a pub and had a bite to eat. I called her the next day, but she didn't call me back. I didn't hear from her and I was worried that I had done something wrong that i didn't know about. Come to find out later on that she just needed some time to think things through. Meanwhile, a year goes by and I try to forget about the whole thing. She talks of boys and dates and I hold back my words. Out of the blue a few days ago I blurt it out. I tell her that I want to try over. I explain my feelings and why I tried to forget about her. We both agree to try again. So it's official. I'm no longer a single man. We are gonna try the dating thing, even though our schedules often conflict. We'll figure out the details down the line.

Well, I'm tired. I have to work at 9 :00 tomorrow so for now, this will be all
