Smexy smexy boys. The day was blazing hot sunshine, one of the warmest on record, and London was absolutely sweltering as Matthieu headed through Soho, his feet leading him in the direction of, of course, Remy and Dannys beautiful ultra-modern flat. Matthieu was in that perilous summer between sixth and seventh year, a strapping lad of sixteen now

"Hey. Matt. Um. Wow. This is uncomfortable."
Matthieu was already half out the door and glanced back at Danny, looking awkward.
"I'll...come back? In an hour? Or. Something. Or maybe never? Yeah. Yeah that sounds good. Coffee? I'll go get coffee. Coffee! Down the road. Okay. Yeah." He signalled aimlessly down the hall, not quite sure where to look. Not down. That was for sure. On the face. Look at the face. The face.

The redhead broke off and ran down the hall, finding sheets and dragging them over the bed and trying, most desperately, to forget about what had just happened.

Following the sounds of a frantic, panicking Danny, Remy moved through to the spare room and took hold of his lover, rubbing his arms. "Hey. Calm down. Matt's in the kitchen now, having a cup of tea. He doesn't mind, really. You okay?"

He continued on in a tirade of frantic, quick words about how horrid it was and how scarred for life Matthieu was sure to be, all the while cleaning up the room and making the bed. Danny, when frantic, was a woman.

"Dan, I'm sure he didn't see your arm-" Remy was interrupted by another panicking frenzy of Danny Worry and sighed, riding it out until the other man had settled slightly.
"He wouldn't have been looking at your arm, love. Chances are, he was looking at where my hand was. C'mere. Come here and give me a hug. It's fine. Really."

"Let's go talk to him, okay? I feel awful."

He smiled and kissed his lovers hair, squeezing him gently. "Okay. Just calm yourself down first. I'm sure he didn't see your Mark. Let's just not say anything. It'll be fine."
A soft cough interrupted them from the doorway, for the second time, and Matthieu looked, if possible, even more uncomfortable than ever before. He had, quite obviously, just heard every word Remy had said.
"I...came to say sorry." He rubbed at his neck, and looked pointedly at the floor. "Um. Sorry. For interrupting you." He bit his lip. Had Remy really just said Danny had a Mark? That didn't mean...no. It couldn't. It meant he had a tattoo. That was all. A tattoo. Yeah.

Oh dear. Surely -- surely he'd heard.
Danny burst into tears.

Matthieu's face was a picture of worry, distraught at the trouble he'd caused, but he moved forward anyway, then sat on the hardwood floor as Remy motioned for him to do. The Gryffindor was cradling his lover and kissing his hair, murmuring words too soft for the younger boy to hear, but Matthieu didn't need to hear anything.
He watched as Remy took hold of Dannys left arms and moved it very gently forward, so Matthieu could see it, still whispering to his lover, telling him what he was doing. And there, black and writhing, the skull and snake, as Matthieu had feared.
"He had to." Remy told his little brother firmly, in a quiet voice. "He had to, and I still love him. I don't care, and neither should you."

The redhead got up, turning away. "I'm making dinner." His tone brooked no arguement -- he didn't want to see Matt's face.

"How...how long have you known?" Matthieu whispered, but Remy shook his head.
"It doesn't matter, and you shouldn't be asking. Matt." He leant forward, serious now. "I have to know you're not going to put Dan into a compromising position here. We need you to be silent on this. Okay? Not just quiet. I want you to forget what you saw. It doesn't matter. He doesn't belong to them. Got it?"
Matthieu made to say something, to defend what he saw as right, but Remy held up a hand, and shook his head. "No. No. I am not having you run your mouth off. I will Obliviate you if that's what it takes. Will you swear to me, swear it that you will never breathe a word of this to anyone? Anyone"I-" Matthieu looked pained, but after a moment, nodded. "I swear it ( ... )

"I can't risk him knowing, baby. I can't. It's bad enough you know."

"I had to show him. You understand, don't you? He had to see it."

With that, he set things on the table and stalked into their bedroom, slamming that door, too. Cat mewled pitifully from the hallways.
