Brief Biography: Raised in the Sanc Kingdom, Richard (he went by his middle name) went into the kingdom's senate. He faithfully served his king and country as best he could, but he was never any confidant of King Nicolo. He frequented the Royal Court and its parties. There, he met Lady Cassandra, daughter of Marquise Weridge. She was in the kingdom as a lady-in-waiting to the Queen and to learn about Total Pacifism for her family. Richard fell in love with her quickly. He pursued her in his free time, and though she never gave him too much attention, she did go to him after the fall of the kingdom. After rescuing the young princess, Lady Cassandra came to Richard seeking refuge. He took both into his home openly, and after a short time, Lady Cassandra agreed to wed him. They raised the small princess as their own, never telling anyone their true heritages.
After the Alliance's destruction of the Sanc Kingdom, Richard decided to work for his enemies. A politician always, he quickly rose in the ranks. The Alliance's politics, however, were in Romefeller-a foundation to which he was denied entrance. His success was limited. It was not long before he became the Vice Foreign Minister of Foreign Affairs. He dealt mostly with the Space Colonies. He was sympathetic to their causes from his time with King Nicolo who followed Heero Yuy, the assassinated colonial leader. He frequently took trips up to space, and as often as he could, he took Relena with him. He knew his absence hurt the girl, but he comforted himself by saying he would spend time with her when he was able to bring more peace to the era. Before he could, though, the Alliance felt they had been pushed too far. Treize Khushrenada, head of OZ, ordered his assassination during one of his trips to space to further his own agenda. On his deathbed in AC 195, he confessed the truth of her birth to Relena, entrusting her with the Peacecraft's torch.
