UPS
There are storms raging all over Slovenia today. Floods are taking houses and cars with them along with one life. One historic place up in the hills (WW2 medical hostpital Franja) was destroyed. It's a sad day today.
It would be even more sad on a personal level if I lost both LJ posts I was typing today because of the storms. Electricity went out twice today... both times I was typing in LJ. The second time happend just a minute ago while I was typing this. Luckily I have a UPS... and no hardware damage or data loss has occured. I bought it the last time there was serial power outage - it went out about a dozen times - each time for a second. Since I rely on my computer for music and especially television... I can't just keep restarting the computer all the time... it takes time, plus it's annoying... not to mention the danger to hardware and my data. Now, life is easier... as are my worries. :)
