The Administrative Bureau
This is the commanding bureau, which answers to the Regent directly and also acts as a judicial system. Only citizens can work for them, and then only upper class citizens can hold positions of power.
Administrator - Sort of like a CEO, the Board of Administrators are the heads of the Bureau and as a group they answer to the Regent himself. Administrators oversee the general workings of Romdeau; they make sure that the general functions of the city are running smoothly.
Judge - There is no jury system in Romdeau. A judge has the power to convict or acquit someone accused of a crime. Depending on the crime, you could be stripped of your citizen status or executed. The judge has the final say.
District Manager- Working beneath the administrators, the district managers oversee districts A-F-thus there is one for each district. They oversee the day-to-day workings of the city and make sure the systems-life support, water, electrical and so on-are running smoothly.
District Clerks and Secretaries- Many of these positions are filled by Autoraves, but some positions are open for humans. They do secretarial work such as filing, data compilation, setting up meetings, and so on.
Engineers & Repairmen- These are the people who create or fix the technology in Romdeau that keeps the city running.
Health and Welfare Bureau
The Health and Welfare Bureau is responsible for the health and well being of the people of Romdeau.
Staff at Daedalus’s Lab- This includes everything from an elite team of scientists and doctors who work for him, to the technicians who handle the lab work, to secretaries. Only the best can work for Daedalus, and even then, he doesn’t really trust anyone.
District Doctors- Each district has a set of doctor offices with attending physicians, as well as their personal secretaries. This also includes psychologists and psychiatrists.
Hospital Staff- There are three hospitals in Romdeau, and each one has a staff of doctors, nurses, surgeons, technicians and so on.
Human Affairs Bureau
This bureau is essentially responsible for human resources in Romdeau. They cover everything from insurance to banking to real estate. They also determine who is allowed to have children.
Insurance Agents- Does exactly what it says on the tin-they sell insurance to the people of Romdeau.
Realtors- Their job is to find and sell homes to and from people.
Family Approval Committee- Their job is to determine whether a person or a couple are fit enough to have a child. They run all the paperwork and have the couple/person in question fill out all the necessary forms.
Bankers- This is pretty self-explanatory.
Teachers and School Administrators- Also self-explanatory.
The Security Bureau
This bureau is, of course, responsible for handling security in Romdeau. This makes them both the military and the NSA rolled into one. They’re more powerful than the Intelligence Bureau. This bureau was responsible for maintaining the Proxy. The current Director is Raul Creed.
Security Agent- Like an FBI agent, they carry a badge and a gun and do not need a warrant to search and arrest people. They handle security in Romdeau
Various officers, Lieutenants and Departmental Heads- All people at different parts of the food chain in the bureau. Officers enforce the law and answer to lieutenants, who answer to the departmental heads. The bureau has departments all over the city.
The Intelligence Bureau
This bureau is responsible for information and intelligence in Romdeau. They make sure that information goes to the right place. They are also responsible for analyzing crime scenes and solving mysteries.
Inspectors- Does what it says on the tin. They inspect crime scenes and analyze data, then hand their information off to the Security Bureau.
Crime Scene Analyzers- These people are essentially CSIs and do all of the lab work and evidence collection.
Network Maintenance- These are the people who maintain the Romdeau network, which is basically a super powered Internet. They control the flow of information and make sure the network itself is working.
The Immigration Bureau
This bureau oversees immigration. They’re responsible for finding jobs and residences for immigrants and for educating them on how to be model citizens.
Case Workers- Rather like probation officers, these are people who work one-on-one with immigrants and help them to become model citizens.
Various Secretaries and Clerks- Some of these positions are filled by Autoraves.
Autorave Control Department
This department is responsible for the production and control of Autoraves. They build the Autoraves, fix the Autoraves, and destroy the Autoraves who get out of control.
Engineers & Mechanics- These are the people who actually build the Autoraves and also develop new ones. They also develop programs and vaccines to analyze and combat viruses.
Disposal Unit- These are teams of armed men and women who hunt down Autoraves infected with the Cogito Virus and destroy them.
