So, we went to Albany, primarily to further irradiate myself through yet more x-rays and CT scans in order to give the new specialist ideas of how and where to stick needles into my spine. Fun.
I made the serious mistake of listening to the kids and making one of our first stops at "The Sugar Boy" the name may be a hint.
It's Honeydukes for muggles.
So, the maniacs walked out, having spent their entire weeks pocket money on sugar and food colouring. And I had stunned the shop keeper by buying a kilo of chocolate coated coffee beans - to keep up with the kids;-)
Anyway, we spent hours at the beach and did a long walk which I managed well till time came to do the down hill return, which jarred the hell out of my back and resulted in us returning to the hotel, armed with pizza for dinner. We had planned to go to the cinema, but the hotel had Foxtel (cable for my yank mates) and therefore were happy to watch Nikelodeon all night, eat pizza and candy, drink fizzy drink and argue.
While I lay groaning, full of painkillers and cursing my lack of foresight in not arming myself with bourbon.
The next day I woke up fine, and so we began to meander home, through the Stirling Ranges, and checking out a couple of touristy places, and National parks. We saw some wild emus, a lot of dead Kangaroos and several assorted lizard and goannas trying their darndest to get run over.
Check out my photos, I'll upload a couple, including one of a pink lake, which doesn't look anyway near as spectacular as it did in real life.
Did I mention the light circuit has blown up?? I'm not paying an electrician to comeoout on the weekend, so, we're managing on lamps, candles and torches, we have power point power, just no lights.
Anyway, that's it for Saturday. At this stage
