Wreck Diving in Greece

It was just a quick stopover in Greece after visiting family on the Black Sea, but it was pleasant. GB had a table when I got there, and was cheerfully downing breakfast. I joined her, then Elias and Liv showed not long after. It was mostly just chatter, about breakfast and the state of the Awakened World today, nothing too outstanding. It was a good chance to get in a little sport and relax, though. We knocked back a few shots- tequila for the other three and vodka for me (got to be ready for the next time Winter calls, after all).
Liv asked me to be one of Dawn’s godfathers. Lord and Lady forbid that I ever have to act like it, other than to spoil the little girl terribly, though. I accepted, and- to be honest- was damn flattered that she thought of me that way. I just don’t think I’m a good example for children. Or for adults, for that matter. I tried to decline, citing being a wandering scoundrel as a reason, but GB held that I was an ideal example of wandering scoundrel, and that Dawn would need that in her life, especially if she turns out Acanthus. I couldn’t argue the point, and tried to accept graciously after that.
Elias said something to the effect of me and GB hooking up and making babies, but even he had to admit that the unadulterated mischief that could create would be awful. As GB phrased it “pure distilled trouble” and “damn good, but a Hell of a mess.” Elias admitted both, but was (barely) honest enough to admit that it’d be better than /him/ breeding (of course, Liv wasn’t nearly so opposed to that idea). Ma’at Na joined us, and Elias left, and the table was even more to my liking. Liv decided to go when he did, but that still left me with two wonderful women- a hottie and my best friend- so life was good. Cybil (one of the locals) joined us, and that was a pleasant meeting, too. We talked a bit about the Arrow, and recent changes, and the problems that had come from that. Cybil isn’t an Arrow, but she’s Kaga’s girl, and said he was ready to walk. I hardly know Kaga, so I had little idea what might make him want to leave the Order, and pretty much said that. Cybil offered that he felt like the leadership was the problem, and it didn’t look to be likely to be fixed, but I still don’t know how it is that Kaga thinks things are broken. Maybe I’ll point Asmodeus to Kaga, see what they come up with. We talked about Black Arrow maybe being too distant, unless you live in his city, but no good answers out of that. Didn’t really think there would be, honestly. That was about as far as we got before I had to head out for a dive with some Sleeper friends. GB asked to come along, and that was just fine- reminded me of the Caribbean, and when we used to go diving there. Nice. Ma’at Na would have joined us, too, I think, except that she was paying Chiminage to spirits for their help- and part of it was not being seen by the Sleepers for a month. Ah, well.

The dive- a wreck dive- was pleasant, too, but it was as much to enjoy the water and GB’s company than anything else. Sometimes, that’s enough.
