"Crossroads, Part II" (CRII) - BSG season finale
This episode aired over two months ago (!) and I'm still obsessing over it, mulling it over in my head. This is why I organized the Battlestar Rewatch at TWoP, inspired by the Great Farscape Rewatch. Watching the entire series along with other posters and discuss the minutiae of each episode in light of what we find out in CRII will be so much fun! It will also help pass the time away while the wait continues for Season 4 as well as the Pegasus movie, "Razor."
I hope that the S4 premiere picks up right where we leave off at the end of CRII - there won't be any time for Starbuck and Apollo to catch up because they're headed directly into battle with all those Cylon Raiders coming from those Basestars. What are Tigh, Tyrol, Tory and Sam going to do, now that they know they're Cylons. Will their secret remain hidden? Is Starbuck a Cylon? If she isn't, did the Cylons take her to Earth? How did she get from the gas giant, to Earth and then to the Ionian Nebula in about a month?
In the last two days, I actually started writing my very first BSG fanfic and am already up to 16 pages! I have never felt so inspired to write in a long time and it's practically writing itself. I've set it as picking up right at Starbuck's line, "I've been to Earth. I know where it is. And I'm going to take us there." At this point, I'm not sure I'll ever publish it just because I've never written in this genre before. It's definitely more of a character-driven piece in different points of view. I'm just going to let the muse continue to dictate my writing and maybe find a patient beta somewhere to read it. But the writing is therapeutic in that it's helping me to answer some of the questions posed in CRII.
BTW, this is my first ever entry...I've finally joined the ranks of the LJ community :-)
