Notes: FINALLY. It's about time I got off my ass and wrote something for this challenge... Let me tell you, though, for some reason I had ADD while writing this. It took me hours because I kept breaking at the worst spots so I could do something else entirely. I don't know what happened, because usually I fly through Kyo x Taka scenes. >_>
Polarity
There were absolutely no clouds floating across the sun, and the weather itself was so warm and mild that it appeared to be the perfect day. Even the sky seemed so close that Kyo thought if he just reached up he would be able to touch the clear blue. He kept his hands in his pockets, though, because he wasn’t spending the afternoon outside. Far against his wishes, his band mates had set him up for a blind date. He grimaced, wondering what kind of woman they had arranged for him to meet… Toshiya had started it by saying he needed to be around people more often, and Kyo argued that he did not because he spent every day with his band mates and tried to visit his family as often as possible. Kaoru backed up Toshiya, saying everyone needed a little pussy every now and again. Kyo refuted that by saying he certainly didn’t because he was more mature than that. Die had let out a hearty guffaw and told him that there was more to life than work. Kyo had crossed his arms over his chest and venomously announced that to him there was nothing greater than music. Shinya was the only one who didn’t have something to say against him…
In the end he had decided to let his band mates win out under the condition that if he went on one blind date they would have to leave him alone about his love life for as long as they all lived. They seemed to think that was fair, and so they had set him up with whoever he was supposed to be meeting at a little coffee shop he wasn’t very far away from. It was hard to guess what she would be like. If it had just been Toshiya deciding, she would be emotionally unbalanced, but very hot. If it had just been Kaoru, she would be a curvaceous foreign woman. If it had just been Die, she would be sweet, but likely two feet taller than him. If it had just been Shinya, odds were she wouldn’t be a she. Seeing as it was all four who had chosen someone, Kyo was both scared and highly curious to find out what she would be like.
He slipped inside the coffee shop, but kept his sunglasses on for a dramatic effect. He was wearing his regular jeans and creepers, and he had a tee shirt on underneath a leather jacket that he really didn’t need, considering the weather. It was just for show, really, but he still didn’t take it off when he walked inside and found a seat. He pulled what was left of a crumpled carnation out of the front jacket pocket, and set it on the table. The carnations were supposed to be how they were to find each other (Toshiya’s gay idea). Kyo sighed and shoved his hands back into his pockets, content to wait.
* * * * *
Takanori was nervous and excited as he drove slowly through the Tokyo streets on his way to the coffee shop. It had been a strange phone call indeed that he’d received a few days prior. The men on the other end were all kinds of giggly, and he had to wonder if any of them were drunk, too. They’d said they were friends of one of his friends, and they had arranged a blind date for him. Since it seemed unlikely they could get his number unless they really were friends with someone he knew, Takanori found himself buying their story. He hadn’t been with someone in awhile, so he agreed to the blind date, though he was starting to have second thoughts as he rounded a corner and the coffee shop came into view.
Of course, Takanori Nishikawa was anything but ugly, so he had nothing to worry about. He was one of the most attractive men in the pop industry, whether he went around telling people or not. He barely reached five feet tall, but he had a toned body to make up for that. His hair was a ginger color, and it was styled attractively (albeit a bit similar to an anime character’s), some strands occasionally finding their way across his eyes. He’d chosen to wear a pair of jeans, some silver-toed cowboy boots, and a form-fitting tee shirt that came up a little too high. All he knew was that he was meeting a man so he felt it was important to show off his hipbones-part of the body he knew a lot of men found appealing.
He found a parking place and turned off the car, carefully picking up the carnation off the passenger seat before he stepped out. He just stared at the coffee shop for a good two minutes before he could take a deep breath and waltz up to it. Upon entering, he immediately scanned the room for a man with a carnation. It obviously wasn’t a very busy time for the shop, as there weren’t many inhabitants; it was easy to find his date.
At a table that was almost hidden by a large plant sat a man who couldn’t have been much younger or older than Takanori, though it was hard to tell. He looked rather stuffy in a leather jacket, and because sunglasses were over his eyes, Takanori couldn’t judge much from his facial features. A slight frown was playing on his face though, and he looked bored to death. A smooshed carnation sat on the table, though it had lost a great deal of its petals. Takanori sighed. This man didn’t look at all like someone he wanted to talk to, let alone date…
* * * * *
Kyo was just thinking he would like to take off his leather jacket when he got the sneaky feeling someone was watching him. He peered through the branches of the plant and saw the perpetrator. It was a man who might have been close to his own age, though there was such a strong air of youthfulness about him. Since sunglasses covered Kyo’s eyes he felt no embarrassment in letting his pupils rove up and down the man’s slender body, which was when he saw the carnation he was holding limply in his hand. He fought off the urge to gasp. This was his blind date!? Apparently they had all let Shinya decide on someone, because this was a man. He was incredibly pretty, and unless Kyo’s eyes were fooling him, he really resembled a certain pop star…
The pretty man stood there, just looking at Kyo, so Kyo finally decided to make a move. He took his sunglasses off, and raised a curious eyebrow. The man smiled slightly and walked over to him. “Hi…” He trailed off uncertainly.
Kyo remembered his manners and stood up with a lazy bow. “I suppose I’m your blind date,” he said.
Then suddenly the other gasped, causing Kyo to stand up straight again. “But-but you’re Kyo-san! I thought I’d seen you before!”
Kyo was having the oddest sense of de ja vu with this man, too. “I get the same feeling,” he said, crinkling his brow as he stared intently at the man’s face.
He smiled and bowed as well. “Takanori Nishikawa.”
Kyo felt his cheeks burn unexpectedly. This was a certain pop star! “Oh,” he said stupidly.
They both sat at the table, but at first neither could seem to decide what to say. Kyo thought it was best that he play it cool, keeping silent and unapproachable, since that’s how he often was in interviews and the like. Takanori seemed to find the silence stifling, though, so he started to talk quickly about everything and anything-something that he often did for his own profession.
“So,” he started off, “who put you up to this? Because I assume you wouldn’t do something like this just for fun!”
Kyo gave a half shrug. “My band mates set me up.”
Takanori nodded. “Are you even interested in guys, Kyo-san?”
“Are you?” Kyo countered.
Takanori seemed a little taken back, but he quickly flashed his wide smile and said, “Admittedly, I am. You know, I even dated Gackt for awhile…”
Kyo raised an eyebrow. “I see.”
Silence. Takanori fiddled with his thumbs for a few nanoseconds before grinning again and saying, “What about you?”
Kyo shrugged again. “I’ve never dated Gackt, if that’s what you’re asking. I’d sooner staple my head to the floor.”
Takanori snorted, hurriedly covering his mouth. He shook his head, still giggling. “I’m sorry, I just find that funny. I understand, though. He’s a wonderful musician, but he’s not very good at maintaining a personal life…too involved with his work, you know.”
Kyo rubbed his chin. “Hm. We have something in common then.”
“Me too,” Takanori added.
Another silence. Kyo was keen to watch Takanori, if not because he was gorgeous to watch then simply because it was fun. He couldn’t seem to sit still, was constantly fidgeting, his gaze darted all around the coffee shop as he watched the other people there. At last he looked back at Kyo with a smile. “It must be so awesome to be a rock star. I always wanted to be one, you know, but a different path was presented to me and it would have been foolish to turn it down…”
Kyo nodded. “Yeah… Honestly, I don’t even call myself that, Takanori-san. People like Kiyoharu-sama are rock stars, not people like me.”
Takanori raised an eyebrow. “Are you sure? I think you’ve actually surpassed Kiyoharu-sama. Didn’t you guys do a tour in America this winter?”
Kyo sighed, but nodded. “Yes, and Kiyoharu-sama insists that I’ve surpassed him, too, but I won’t hear it. I’m still disappointed with myself most of the time. To me fame isn’t want makes one a rock star. There’s a lot more to do with it, like heart and brilliance and whether or not you can change lives with your lyrics.”
“But you can!” Takanori practically exclaimed. “I’m sure you can, Kyo-san! God knows you had to have touched more lives with your deep words than I have with my songs about mermaids and…well, yeah.” He looked down, a subtle blush creeping into his cheeks.
Kyo found himself chuckling, which caused the other to look back up. “You’ve written songs about mermaids?”
Takanori nodded. “Well, I certainly talk about them in ‘Hot Limit.’”
Kyo laughed again, but Takanori joined in. He stopped and shook his head. “What sort of expectations do they place on you in the pop industry?”
“Oh, everything you can imagine,” Takanori said with a sigh. “You know, I rarely ever get more than three hours of sleep a night? It’s that hectic.”
Kyo gave a low whistle. “That’s pretty intense.”
* * * * *
It took more than thirty minutes of conversation before they discovered they had more in common than they realized. Looking at all the significant differences in their separate industries was just starting to make Takanori believe they should buy their coffee and part ways, but then there was a dramatic subject change and they found themselves talking about everything else-their families, their dreams, their past girlfriends, their obsessions with video games and Star Wars… That was when Takanori realized with an excited jolt that they actually had potential to be great friends, if not something more.
“Well, I guess we should be heading out since it’s getting dark,” Kyo said suddenly, glancing outside. “I’m supposed to meet the guys at Toshiya’s place. They’ll want to know all about my date.” He rolled his eyes, as though his band mates were nothing more than teenage girls.
Takanori smiled. “Why don’t you come to my place first for some dinner or something?”
Kyo shrugged. “The guys are ordering pizza…”
Takanori’s smile fell. “Oh…”
“I don’t really like pizza,” Kyo finished, standing up and taking his jacket off the back of the chair.
Takanori grinned and stood as well. “I’ll make some pasta.”
Since Takanori had driven there, they climbed into his car and set out on the road. He kept glancing nervously at Kyo as they made their way to his house; after all, he had more in mind for them than a simple dinner. He only hoped he didn’t scare Kyo away because he seemed the type who might want to take a relationship a little slower…
“So you have a house and everything,” Kyo said when they parked and left the vehicle. “Nice. I’ve been living in the same apartment for the last five years.”
Takanori chuckled, leading the way up the front steps. “Why don’t you move?”
He stopped at the door so he could look over at Kyo, who shrugged nonchalantly and said, “I guess I just like the place. I’m also lazy as hell about looking for a new apartment.”
Takanori smiled and opened the door, stepping inside, and allowing Kyo entrance next. They took their shoes off, and Takanori headed into the kitchen. “You can just make yourself at home. I get more channels than you can shake a stick at, so I’m sure you can find something on TV if you want to.”
He opened the refrigerator, but Kyo had followed him into the kitchen and shut it. He turned to face the other man, a mixture of excitement and surprise in his gaze. “Is something wrong?”
Kyo shook his head, and took his leather jacket off, setting it on the nearest bit of counter space. The tee shirt he was wearing wasn’t too loose or too tight, and it teased Takanori by just showing enough of his tattooed biceps… “You said for me to make myself at home,” he said softly.
Takanori nodded, unwillingly backing up as Kyo advanced on him. He stopped when his rump came into contact with the counter, and Kyo stopped in front of him. “Let me know if I’m acting completely out of line, Takanori-kun,” Kyo added, continuing to speak in the same careful tone, his voice a low rumble.
Takanori didn’t even get a chance to nod; the gap between them was so small that it took less than a second for Kyo to press their lips together. He moved them ferociously against Takanori’s right away, and Takanori had no choice but to follow his movements. Kyo’s arms came tightly around his waist, forcing them close together like two interlocking puzzle pieces. Takanori let his hands trail gingerly up Kyo’s arms, gripping his biceps.
Kyo tasted of cigarettes, which wasn’t surprising to Takanori since they’d both enjoyed a smoke at the coffee shop. Their tongues fought for dominance; Kyo wasn’t about to let Takanori take the lead, so he pushed more harshly against him as he seemed to try swallowing his tongue. Takanori heard a soft whimper from his mouth, though he hadn’t even meant for it to come out. He was slightly embarrassed, but only slightly. He grabbed the hem of Kyo’s shirt and started to lift it, hoping he would be allowed to get it off.
Kyo let go of Takanori so he could grab the back of the shirt, helping the pop star pull it over his head. It was tossed carelessly into the kitchen sink, though neither noticed. Takanori was just glad he could run his hands up and down those chiseled abs without the hindrance of a tee shirt. He realized that Kyo seemed eager to get his shirt off, too, because he was tugging it upward, probably getting frustrated because Takanori wouldn’t lift his arms. Takanori acted appropriately, and his shirt was soon tossed aside as well.
Kyo’s hands moved roughly over his torso, trying to feel every patch of skin, pinching his nipples almost experimentally. Takanori was finding it hard to breathe because their mouths were still pressed close together, and Kyo was sucking on his tongue at the present moment. He brought his hands up the other’s arms again, massaging his biceps, feeling the muscles moving as Kyo’s hands continued to caress his skin. He hummed, hoping to somehow get it across to Kyo that he was having trouble breathing…
Kyo pulled away, and looked at him a little hazily. “I hope this is okay,” he basically whispered.
“I was hoping to seduce you, but you beat me to it,” Takanori said with a breathless laugh.
Kyo smiled and bent his head to place pecks and kisses on Takanori’s neck. “Should we move to the bedroom?” He murmured against the skin.
“No,” Takanori said as he tilted his head back. “You don’t know where it is, and I don’t want to break the mood by showing you. Let’s just do it here.”
“But won’t we need to get a condom and everything?”
“Why? Do you have AIDS?”
Kyo broke contact again, lifting his head and giving Takanori something of a glare. “No! I just thought-“
“Then I’d rather not bother,” Takanori purred, using his forefinger to trace a line from Kyo’s navel to the slight bulge in his pants.
Kyo made a sound in the back of his throat, and resumed necking Takanori, apparently ready to forgo arguing. His arms came around the other’s waist again, and he turned them both around so he could lift him onto the island in the middle of the kitchen. A cereal box and an empty plastic bowl were knocked to the floor, the bowl clattering loudly and the cereal box dumping Cap’n Crunch all over the tiles, but neither cared. They broke apart for a moment as Takanori scooted backward a bit; he was surprised that Kyo didn’t have to struggle at all to pull himself onto the island. He thought he would have trouble considering his height, but he was very spry. “You must work out,” Takanori commented, lying back as Kyo straddled him, his knees sitting on either side of his chest.
“So must you,” Kyo shrugged.
“I do,” Takanori said with a laugh.
Kyo gave him a smirk before he bent down, and continued to place kisses along his neck and jaw line. Takanori sighed and threaded his fingers in Kyo’s hair, letting his eyes slip shut as he was ravished. Kyo slid his tongue languidly over Takanori’s warm skin, pausing at the tendon that connected to his shoulder; he bit down and Takanori gasped, jumping slightly from the sudden change. Kyo was just as good with his lips and teeth as he was with his tongue, though, and soon Takanori was panting from the simple pleasure Kyo caused by suckling on the tendon while a finger teasingly played with one of his nipples. “A-ah,” he breathed after a moment, moving his hands from Kyo’s hair so he could rake fingernails down his back.
Kyo arched to his touch, pulling away from his neck as he did. He let out a harsh breath, and turned a lust-filled gaze to Takanori’s eyes when he stopped. “Do that again,” he said huskily.
Takanori smiled sweetly. “Why? Did you like it?”
Kyo didn’t answer; he moved one knee so he was kneeling beside Takanori on the island, and furiously started undoing the button and zipper of his pants. Within seconds Takanori’s jeans and underwear had joined the bowl and cereal on the floor. He was already semi-stiff, and Kyo grabbed him swiftly as he reclaimed his previous position. Takanori thought he’d either been with a lot of men, or masturbated enough to be very talented with his hand. “What do you want me to do, Takanori?” He asked suddenly, placing a new trail of kisses up Takanori’s neck to his earlobe.
Takanori swallowed, ignoring how his breathing had become so erratic so quickly. “I want you to touch me more…”
“How?” Kyo asked in a would-be casual way, licking Takanori’s ear liberally when he was done.
Takanori shivered from the feeling, bringing his arms tightly around Kyo’s neck. “Grip me and-and move your hand up and down.”
“Like this?” Kyo did as he was requested.
Takanori’s breathing increased. “Faster,” he said, though it came out as a barely audible rush of wind.
Kyo’s hand moved faster and his mouth again covered Takanori’s. Takanori tried to kiss back, but he was so lost in the feeling of Kyo’s warm hand pumping him that he was having trouble reciprocating. Nevertheless, he was disappointed when Kyo pulled away completely. He watched through half-lidded eyes as the other struggled out of his pants, stifling a laugh because they were on him pretty tightly and he was having trouble getting them off without falling off of the island. In fact, he almost did fall once, but Takanori sat up quickly and grabbed his arm to save him. “Thanks,” Kyo muttered, turning a deep shade of red.
Takanori chuckled and helped him get the pants off, smirking because the other had gone commando. “Are you sure you weren’t anticipating this?”
Kyo shrugged, taking his position between Takanori’s legs again. “Hm. I was hoping to get some pussy.”
Takanori really didn’t know how to respond; the very fact that Kyo had said that sort of made him self-conscious. He watched the other man warily as he pressed Takanori’s thighs to his abdomen, and lowered his head. Then he was forced to rest his head against the island when he felt Kyo’s tongue prodding a very sensitive ring of muscle… He let out a gasp, and covered his mouth with the back of one hand, embarrassed by the girly sound that had found its way out of his throat. Kyo continued to lavish attention on his entrance, coming to a crescendo by thrusting his tongue slowly in and out a few times. The tingling pleasure that spread up Takanori’s spine was hard to ignore; he clenched his eyes shut tight and continued to whimper against his hand.
At last Kyo pulled away and scooted up Takanori’s body. “There needs to be some more lubrication,” he said simply. “I don’t want to hurt you more badly than I need to.”
Takanori appreciated that, and gave Kyo a weak smile. When Kyo was seated on his chest, he rested one hand on his hip bone, and steadied his dick with the other, slipping the crown into his mouth. He laved his tongue generously around the tip, which Kyo must have liked since he grunted and threw his head back. Takanori lifted his head so he could take more of Kyo’s length into his mouth, using his saliva to lube it up good. It was only a few seconds later that Kyo pulled away with a sigh. “You’re very good,” he complimented, moving back down Takanori’s body.
“Well, I was with Gackt,” Takanori said off-handedly. “He’s the master, you know. Eight hours straight…man, I was always exhausted!”
He was trying to make Kyo jealous, but he wasn’t getting a rise out of the other man. The rock star simply gave a nod and said, “Of course.”
Takanori scowled, but he couldn’t dwell on that for long. Kyo positioned himself, and Takanori pulled his legs back again. He watched as Kyo carefully steadied his member, and pushed it past Takanori’s opening. He drew in his breath sharply, and readily took Kyo’s hand when it was offered to him. With his other hand Kyo grabbed Takanori’s waist and slowly started a rhythm going. He grunted and shifted a bit before saying breathlessly, “I’ll be lucky if I can use my knees again after this.”
Takanori continued to grip Kyo’s hand tightly, his other hand holding onto the edge of the counter. “Ouch…my spine…” he groaned as his body was slammed repeatedly against the hard surface.
Kyo laughed, so he laughed, too, but soon neither could manage laughter. Kyo bent forward, still holding onto Takanori’s hand. He moved faster, watching Takanori’s face closely. Takanori felt Kyo touch his prostate and moaned without even meaning to, arching his back as stars burst behind his eyelids. “More,” he gasped out, letting go of the counter to wrap his arm around Kyo’s neck.
Kyo continued to move swiftly, pausing only when he wanted to adjust his angle or give Takanori a chance to breathe. Eventually, it was nigh impossible for him to pause even for a moment. Both men panted harshly as they approached orgasm; Takanori removed his arm from Kyo’s neck in favor of grabbing his own weeping length. Kyo’s name started to fall repeatedly from his lips in a garbled mess before he was suddenly coming hard over their chests. Kyo groaned, moving remarkably faster when Takanori tightened around him; a moment later he released, filling Takanori with wet warmth.
“Wow,” Takanori croaked after a minute or two. He brought up a hand to smooth back Kyo’s damp hair; his other hand was still entwined with Kyo’s. “That was incredible, even if the counter hurt like a bitch.”
Kyo lifted his head from Takanori’s neck so he could give him a feeble kiss on the cheek. “Yeah, I’m glad we got to know each other. I don’t think this would have worked if we didn’t realize we have so much in common.”
“Still, nothing is quite the same, right? I was hoping to be with a guy, and you wanted a girl tonight. You really aren’t interested in guys, are you?” Takanori queried.
Kyo reached up to brush away some hair that was stuck to Takanori’s sweaty cheek. “No, not really. I’m interested in you, though.”
Takanori felt himself blush, and he grinned warmly. “Good, because we’re going to get off the island so I can make some pasta, and then we’re going to have round two in the bedroom. This time I’m going to give you a real blowjob.”
Kyo sat up and slid down to the floor before helping Takanori down. “Very tempting…what do you say we skip the pasta?”

Notes: 1) Written for the
rare_k_love challenge.
2) Kiyoharu would be Kyo's idol. Frankly, I think he's every Japanese rock vocalist's idol. >_>
3) There are five others for this challenge, and unless I change my mind, I've decided they're all going to connect together. So...hopefully I'll be able to write the next one soon. ;)
