So the kidlets are across the state with the in-laws and we will be joining them tomorrow evening after I get off work. Apparently the FIL called today after they got to their destination and stated that my eldest had been sure to pack his socks and underwear and all the necessary stuffed animals, but he kind of forgot to pack shirts. DORK. Seriously. And what was his father thinking? Assume they are responsible and then double check anyway. He's not like the youngest who coordinates his outfits and makes sure that his socks and underwear are correctly paired. Seriously, I do not understand how these people are my children. I suppose I should pack too at some point. I asked my husband when he was planning on leaving tomorrow night - trying to discern if I should leave work early - and his reply was "I thought I'd wait until you got home." NOW I know how they're my children.
