This was my thought process in the shower this morning:
1 - What is that Army base in Washington?
2 - McCord is an Air Force base
3 - Stevens is a hospital
4 - Mc-something?
5 - McLean.
6 - McLean Stevenson?
7 - No, he was the dad on "Different Strokes"
8 - Why would they name an Army base after him.
9 - No! He was the first Colonel on M*A*S*H*
10 - Colonel...Colonel...
11 - Henry...
12 - If my dad were alive, he'd kick my ass for thinking the "Different Strokes" guy was McLean Stevenson.
13 - Conrad Bain
14 - Henry Blake
15 - What is that Army base in Washington?
For the record: Fort Lewis.
All this is because I need to ask aigooshesays if her parents will bring me back coins from Korea. I'm a Navy brat, and Navy doesn't get to Korea, Army does. AND IT ALL COMES FULL CIRCLE.
I'm tired and don't want to go to work, flist. Also, it's supposed to be a *gorgeous* day out, and I'm going to spend it in a concrete cave scanning charts. Don't get me wrong - I'm thrilled that I have a job (as crazy as it drives me sometimes) - but when my kids aren't home on a Saturday morning? Sleeping in sounds *divine*. After work involves: picking up kids, cleaning house, grocery shopping, prepping for brunch tomorrow, wrapping mom's day gifts for moms. Then Sunday is getting up and making brunch. Then I'm not going to do anything else that day. If I can help it.
