So, after eating a particularly large meal of gazelle, tigers are often known to go to watering areas and wade into the water and do what is known as a belly soak, where they let themselves float and the water support the weight of their engorged bellies. Today, to make up for missing breakfast, I went to lunch with my friend at "The Flying Pig Brewing Company" and had a Twisted Rueben Sandwich, which is peppered pastrami with sweet Washington apple kraut and swiss cheese on grilled marble rye. It was MOST delicious, but I fear I too am in need of a belly soak. This may be the case for several days as I'm pretty sure that's how long I'm going to be full.

I have a fic I'm working on that I'm struggling with and I don't know why exactly. I know what I want, and it seems to be going that way, it just doesn't want to take those last few steps. I think I should just shove it aside and work on something else, but I really want to get this done. I'm trying to work on finishing what I start this year rather than letting things languish. I also have to write up an invitation and send it to one of the PTA gals and come up with an outline for job descriptions and send that as well. Lots of stuff that should take precedence over an LJ post but don't at this juncture.

Tomorrow the kids are supposed to go back to school, but outside there's about an inch of snow, which better not close school tomorrow, because I need a vacation from my kids' vacation. I need routine again, and I'm going crazy without it, though I have to say, I'm more relaxed than I've been in a while in regards to stuff. One of these days I'm going to have to learn to live in this decreased stress capacity without wondering what's wrong with me. I'm thinking I need to get back into an exercise routine and regiment my days a little better. Maybe with a strict, set schedule I can...I don't know. Feel...more like me? Huh. Wow. This went philosophical or something, didn't it? Perhaps spreadsheets are in order. Oooooooooooooh spreadsheets.
