So I happened to stumble upon (by Googling her name once a week, what?) Courtney Beckett's etsy site, and I order some of her friendship bracelets and they are really gorgeous and yesterday I wore it, and so now I have worn something Courtney Beckett touched. There has been no inappropriate touching on MY end, so I'm sure you are all relieved. It really is gorgeous though. I might order more. NOT FOR REASONS, but because they are great, and if I get my tattoo where I want to get it, I'll have to cover it up at work, and bracelets are a good way to do that.
Yesterday involved a drive down to Mt. St. Helens (which erupted 32 years ago) with redheadaholic and my two kids, and then a three hour hike, and then a four hour drive back and everyone was still happy (though sleepy) and having a good time by the end of it, so it was an excellent day. There was pretty scenery and detours and the worst four way stop ever and covered sink holes and volcanic eruption devestation and amazing food at the Mt. Adams Cafe (seriously, you guys. Deep fried green beans? AMAZING.) There was also the roadside store/tent...thing that had this handwritten/painted sign that read: CHICKINS BUNNIES N MORE.
And, I looked at it and I was all "C. Hickins: Bunnies N More" and then redheadaholic got to laugh at me for not realizing they just spelled chickens wrong. But after that, every word that started with C because C. (whatever). C. Emetary. C. Afe. I don't know. We're easily amused. Or maybe that's just me. We're pretty sure that Chick-fil-A gets their chickins from C. Hickins though.
It has now come up that I have to introduce redheadaholic to "Into the Woods", because she has not seen it, which means spending more time together, which will be SUCH a hardship, I assure you. Anyway, there will be pictures later because I can't actually manage to post about something when I have the pictures ready for posting. There will also be Ray/Mikey fic when I get the edits done and betaing a fic that I am most excited about, and all that good stuff. For now though, I need to eat breakfast, get dressed and go out and tackle the strip of jungle that has grown up beside my garage.
