Don't Stop Believin'

Soprano's last night was brilliant. I must admit after I got over 1) thinking out cable went out- which now makes me feel really stupid and 2) being completely dumbstuck and confused, I now understand. Much like the effects of Tony's peyote trip a few weeks ago I want to stand on the edge of a precipice and yell, "I get it!" It was beautiful and smart. And that's all I'm saying because I don't want to spoil it.

The weekend was okay. Friday I went over to see my parents to discuss my student loan repayment and to hang out in general. My dad made his famous biscuits and gravy, my mom guilted me into playing Mystery Date with her (I knew that at some point I'd regret buying that game for her for Christmas- that day has come), and we watched the Cardinals lose on tv. I went home after that, had a few beers with Mike, Jeff, Pete and Freda (who were hanging out over at the apt) and went to bed earlyish.

Saturday Mike and I went to a co-worker's wedding, which means I had to go to church. Boo! We went to the reception afterwards, which was pretty boring so we didn't stay too long. We headed to the Brewhaus after that and hung out with Terry and his jerk of a co-worker friend, Ed. Luckily Ed was distracted easily and he kept leaving the table to go scam on girls or play pool. Lance showed up later, which was nice. He recently bought a house (good for him!). After we closed down the brewhaus, we went over to Terry's place and played some beer pong of which I only won one game. I went to bed around 4.

Sunday was lazy as usual. Mike and I hung out and watched horrible movies all day, refusing to get out of our pajamas. After the Soprano's episode we went to sleep.

I'm back at work this morning, and I'm angry with some of my authors who cannot seem to get their butts in gear. I needed manuscript from them over the weekend and what did I get? Nothing. I'm off to go figure out how to trick them into working.
