Snape is in Chicago? South Chicago. He could hang out with my sisters. They would take care of him. Of course he would gain a million pounds from eating too much deep pan pizza and cabbage rolls, but he would be safe.

I loved the film noir sense of this. Almost a 40's feel to it even though there are plenty of references to the present. I enjoyed how you wrote about the torment poor Snape is gong through. He won't cross the line now, but can he hold out much longer.

I am rambling too much. I liked this. Very much.

Oh, I am so glad!

I'm not sure that, at the moment, Chicago pizza and cabbage rolls would satisfy his craving, but if your sisters and fair-haired and Pureblooded, we might have something there.

Thank you so much!

This is going to be such a fun few weeks around here!

It's always so much fun to see what people make of the prompts. This is fantastic. You captured Snape's mood so well. One could almost feel sorry for him. :)

One could almost feel sorry for him.

Almost, but not quite eh?

I'll gladly wait.

You FEEL this pairing, and it shows!

Damn that was awesome, RVC! Snape is incredibly tormented, just the way I like him.

I usually skip over stories that take place in Muggle environs, especially in the US! But, you made it plausible.

You've made this pairing my guilty pleasure ship. Icy Potions!

Such sweet, high praise. If I can get you to read something you'd normally skip, that makes me feel good. I agree, I first thought it was wierd, but it wrote itself. Doesn't hurt that I've been listening to too much blues lately.

Do you feel guilty because of Lucius?

I'm a fan of SS/NM. I really liked this. It does have a bit of an old-time feel to it while remaining in the present. You've captured Severus beautifully. I look forward to the rest! :D

We definitely should! I'm going to friend you, if that's okay. SS/NM fans are few and far between. I only know of three besides us. :D Can't wait for the next part!

Yes, friending back!

I think that sophierom and snarkypants also both have an appreciation for this pairing, but I wouldn't call them shippers.

I'm slapping the next bit into shape.

I feel the pain, but oh, my--the setting. Don't think those Nordic Malfoys would last long.
