Across the ballroom of Rosier Hall, Regulus laughed, throwing his head back. His longish raven hair swung into place, but he smoothed it anyway. He stole a glance at me as Galicia dominated the young Death Eaters with the tale of her ridiculous Muggle encounter.

"Have you seen the reindeer, Bliss?"

I turned toward my old admirer. "Reindeer are a myth."

"Come, I'll show you."

Since Regulus was hanging on that icy bint's every word, I followed Rabastan to the doors adorned with lush greenery and luminous holly berries.

Rabastan tapped the glass. "There." Several large beasts were tethered in the frosty garden.

"Who said they were reindeer?" I asked, pressing my nose to the cool glazing.

"They can fly."

"I'd like to see it."

Rabastan smirked, touching my arm. "Let's go--"

"To Regulus."

Rabastan's eyes narrowed at Regulus. "Bliss and I are going--"

"Nowhere." Regulus nonchalantly twirled his wand.

Swearing under his breath, Rabastan stalked toward his date, Galicia.

Regulus' sweet, crooked smile had nothing to do with besting Rabastan. "Mistletoe, Bliss." Eyes closed, he pressed his lips to mine. The party faded into his intoxicating juniper and bergamot scent. Regulus sighed, gathering me closer to the special place where we fit together like hand to quill.

Regulus showed me the reindeer when we flew bareback across the countryside, landing at a crumbling fortress. While the beasts feasted on overgrowth, he led me up a spiral stairway to the watchtower.

Exhilarated, I pushed off my cloak. "What's the name of these ruins?"

"Ours." Regulus kissed my forehead then flicked his wand, summoning a picnic hamper. Another charm opened the basket and spread a woollen cover, adding pillows, throws, and candles. "Almost ready," he said with a wink, casting Cushioning and Warming Charms.

Under the stars, we reclined against the pillows, sipping mulled cider and smiling at each other. It was the perfect setting for a seduction--my first.

Taking his goblet, I firmly pushed my surprised wizard onto his back. Regulus grinned while I unbuttoned his crisp white shirt, left on but open to cover the Mark. We would forget about all that tonight.

I kissed his lips, neck, chest, and stomach, while smoothly shifting my softness against his hardness, just like heroines in my romance novels. Regulus liked it. Suppressing nervous laugher, I unfastened his trousers, pushing them down. He eagerly kicked them off. His breathing was rapid; my heart pounded. I stripped away his pants, seeing him for the first time. I gulped.

Gathering my courage, I kissed him all around, then the tip. He shuddered as I ran my tongue over, finally sliding it into my mouth. I wasn't sure what else to do, but Regulus' hands in my hair gently encouraged me. I did my best, coughing and spitting when it was over.

His sexy, crooked grin was well worth the effort, and he showered me with loving kisses.

"Happy New Year, Regulus."

"A perfect, blissful start," he murmured, removing my silk blouse.

Author's Notes: Perfect Bliss is set one year after The Disposition Discerner, a story I wrote for Challenge Nineteen. Regulus and Bliss are eighteen in this story. Thank you, Miss Blane, for your Proof Witchery.
