I left Malfoy Manor to meet Pansy's father early on New Year's Eve.
After observing the social niceties, I got right to the point.
"Sir, I want to marry your daughter."
Parkinson raised his eyebrows then sipped his drink.
"I want to ask her tonight."
He cleared his throat but said nothing.
"I love Pansy. I always will."
Parkinson set down his goblet.
"I'll be a good husband. She'll want for nothing."
"How many grandchildren will I get?" he asked.
"As many as Pansy wants," I answered carefully.
Smiling, he rose and shook my hand. "Welcome to the family, Draco."
