Millicent huffed and slammed the box onto the table. Why do I get stuck inspecting Christmas packages when the rest of the Inquisitorial Squad is enjoying romantic holiday snogging sessions?
Next to her, Gregory paused from rifling through a package. “Millie, what’s wrong?”
“Oh, I just feel like the ugly stepsister in Cinderwitch, Gregory!”
Gregory turned to her and said softly, “I think you’re amazing, Millie.”
Millicent blushed. “You do?”
Gregory gulped audibly, “Sure. No other witch could wrestle me for this,” he extended a box of pilfered Chocolate Cauldrons, “and win.”
Smiling, Millicent yanked the box from his grasp.
For gelsey, who is far more adorable than Millicent but still deserves large quantities of chocolate.
