Aren't they cute? Well, hopefully you'll have some idea of what you're gonna get! LOL Before we met, my husband went through a rather difficult break up, and said something similar to some well-meaning friends who kept trying to set him up with random women. I think it was something like, "All of these women were like a box of donuts, but I want a chocolate eclair." Guess who was his chocolate eclair? *grins*

I really like to read stories about Luna connecting with her peers. She is an overlooked canon character to be sure. I agree with Dean, she isnt anything regular, a trecle tart fits surprisingly well. Good job Shug!

You write such a wonderful Luna; we can see into the way her mind works, and it's not *all* scary. ;) She's a complex character, not just a ditz, and you capture that nicely.

I like how Dean reacts to her - very much as any of his dorm-mates might have done, I think - and my favourite part is the very end where she casts the Patronus.

GASP! I can't believe you did them too. Well, I looks as if we're sharing a brain! AND you used the portraits on the ceiling too. What you did with her cork necklace was brilliant, and I loved the fact that at the end she was able to cast her Patronus again. I also loved that Dean didn't get her attempt at humor.

I know! I was gaping at the screen last night when I saw your story up. LOL

I have this idea of the cork necklace being Luna's version of a charm bracelet - each one is a transfigured memento.

I'm glad you liked the humor bit. She really just wants someone to feel comfortable enough with her to ask her what the heck she's talking about when she says something odd, someone to talk with her long enough to know that while she's a bit odd, there is a rhyme and reason to what she's saying. Once Dean did that, he's a friend. :)

It was just so nicely done, and the idea of a Charmed bracelet -- cork necklace style works very well. If we extrapolate it out a bit, it makes a great deal of sense. If her dormmates and housemates take her stuff all year long, she'd want to come up with an way to camouflage the things which really matter to her. This works because no one would take the necklace ... as they'd assume it's rubbish. Which just shows just how much she must trust Dean instinctively.

Yes! That is exactly it. I had to cut a few paragraphs due to length, and one of those mentioned her curiosity over instinctive trust of Dean. I'm so glad you managed to get to that thought even without it. :D
