Swell!

I feel so morbid because my math teacher just died over the weekend and I'm unnaturally obsessed with the fact that he is DEAD--gone, kaput, no more will we see him shuffling down the hallway, clutching his moldy papers with his hairy fingers and dirty fingernails. No longer will we see his scuffed slippers and the khaki's he wore every single day.

Can you tell I'm obsessed? Perhaps it's because I've never experienced death. I mean, I saw my dad's father before he died, but it was also the first time I'd even met him. My math teacher, I'd seen three times a week since August and now, he's dead! It's so creepy and really humbling.

But anyways, because he died two weeks before finals, everything is in shambles because he kept everything he ever assigned us, rarely gave us real homework and didn't teach out of the assigned textbook. When the class informed the dean--who's substituting--about the state of things, she was completely appalled--hey, you guys kept hiring him lady! So we're getting a crash course in Pre-Algebra in TWO WEEKS. Yikes.

I'm also steadily plugging away at my Term Paper due Thursday and I've signed up for my Spring classes(Fashion Illustration, English Literature, Art and Chemistry[the coolest class on the planet] and Design Fundamentals). I'll probably get a job because I'm tired of being broke, but we'll see.

On the writing front, I have the bestest plot in the planet! 1920s, Orient Express, spying and murder=greatness! I'm also reading Virginia Woolf's Mrs. Dalloway and Somerset Maugham's The Painted Veil(I want to see the movie too). So besides the slight morbidity haunting my life, I'm doing splendid.
