This was not the detention center. Nor was it his home with Lamiroir-- or anywhere else familiar, for that matter. The city that Machi found himself wandering was entirely new, and bitter cold. He hugged himself as much as he could, his thin and lacy stage clothes doing very little to defend against the cold; his slight frame only worsened it, his slender limbs trembling slightly as he scanned for somewhere that looked open.
He needed to get inside somewhere.
He knew that-- he searched, but the city had seemingly chosen the worst possible time to take him in, and nighttime had fallen. None of the stores seemed to be open.
He finally settled on what seemed to be a residential house-- there was a light coming from inside. And, where there was light, there was warmth. With a small, shaking hand, he knocked as hard as he could, hoping that someone would answer soon.
((Apologies for the weather assumption, mods; it's only just gotten cold weather where I live, so I'm in a mood. If this isn't okay, just let me know. ... also, responses do not have to be in prose format! It's just what I'm in the mood for. I'm flexible, though!
AS FOR EVERYONE ELSE: hi, I'm new here, have a and half-frozen blind kid-- aka Machi Tobaye. :> He is taken from some point during Turnabout Serenade, of course-- specifically, sometime shortly after he begins speaking English. Of course, only the people in that court room know that he speaks English at that point, so he may remain totally silent for a while until he feels that he needs to say something. He will also, because it's currently only known in the court room and to people who know Lamiroir, still pretend to be blind until he's called on it or trusts your character, for whatever reason.
Oh, and, even if your character does not speak English-- whatever language they speak, I'm going to keep Machi's accent, as it's the easiest way to write him and it's just what I'm used to. Have fun with that. ♥ Feel free to be anyone-- someone outside who sees him, someone inside of the building he's knocking at, etc etc. Anyone for CR, and anyone age, like, 17 and under for romance-- that is, boys and girls are allowed. :D))
