Rain, Rain, Go Away || Open to All

Rain. It's a strange thing, leaving one feeling cleansed and free. He could really use it right this second, memories of his past haunting him to an extreme degree. The rain washes it all away, soaking him to the bone and clinging to his clothes. His head is tilted back, welcoming it. Sure, he might end up sick, but there are few here--or anywhere ( Read more... )

The downpour had caught her by surprise. And though she doesn't mind the rain - it's intriguing, something she rarely encountered even while out on missions in other worlds, Xion wasn't as willing to get soaked to the bone. Instead, she scurried under the eaves of a building, huddling against the wall, a shadow among shadows ( ... )

...Oh geez, this is going to be awkward. xD <3 beforemoonfall October 10 2010, 02:41:02 UTC
Eyes. He feels eyes on his back, a skill he'd had to develop quickly as a Nobody and one he'd never quite lost. Slowly, he turns, preparing for a fight if need be (so say his instincts). However, what he sees causes a surge of memories and a hand to his head as it works to sort through everything.

There, in the shadows, watching him, is a girl (not a girl an it a puppet a doll a toy a tool to be used) in a black coat. A very familiar black coat. He winces, moving to hold his head. But it's not just memories that split his head, it's lots of emotions that tear at his heart. Jealousy and anger and pain, but above it all is guilt. He can't bring himself to look at her directly, instead looking off to the side.

"...X-Xion...?"

Though she was determined to remain unnoticed, a short gasp finishes giving her away - because he shouldn't know her, should have forgotten her like the rest did. Both her insides and her expression contract in apprehension, teeth gritting behind sealed lips, eyes squinting just slightly. It really comes as no surprise that Saïx is just as alert in his younger years as when she'd known him, but the fact that he called her by name has her frozen.

Nobody should be able to recall her. Not Roxas, not Axel, and certainly not Saïx. She doesn't miss it when he won't even spare her a direct look. Maybe it means he doesn't care enough to come after her; it might give her a second or two to get away.

Xion doesn't answer his call. Instead, she stays out of the reach of the streetlight's glow and attempts to slip away, hoping that sudden headache she no doubt caused will keep him at bay. Stay back, she thinks. For the both of us.

"W-Wait!" he says as she goes to leave, instinctively reaching out to stop her by grabbing her wrist. So many conflicting emotions right now... But he does know one thing, and that's that seeing her has triggered a ton of memories and left him with all of them. He feels horrible, not just physically but emotionally. So much he wants to say, but he can't figure out what first or how to form words.

However, he does notice how odd it is to be nearly the same height as her. His Nobody's height is gone, him reduced to his younger self once more. Either way, he's not going to let her leave yet, not until-- ...Until what? He apologizes? ...How could he ever make amends for what he was too damn blind to see back then?

"Please. I... ...I want to talk," he says, the only thing he can manage to formulate right this second. So much to say, and yet his brain doesn't seem to be processing it--still to busy with the buried memories.

He's simply out enjoying the weather while he can, his hood tugged up to protect his hair lest he spend another ten minutes fixing it. He passes the awning which Isa's hiding under, only to freeze a good ten paces after and walks backwards to stare at him.

Something... Looks off about him. Maybe it's just because he looks sad--and then he idly wonders what that particular emotion really felt like. If he ever regained his heart, what would he want to feel right away?

...Ask and ye shall receive, huh? Because there goes Demyx, right past, before doubling back to stare at him. He stares back for a moment before gesturing to beside him. A silent request for Demyx to join him under the awning, where at least he can stay a bit dry.

"...You like rain, too, huh?" he asks, forcing a smile on his face. He doesn't want Demyx asking why he's so sad, because that's... Something he doesn't want to share yet, even though he's shared a lot with Number IX so far.

"Well, water's water, right?" He says with a shrug, taking the invitation and ducking under the awning to take his hood off. Well, looks like the rain soaked through a bit.

"But honestly, it kinda calms me down, not to mention it looks cool when you make it stop mid-fall!"

"I guess..." he says with a faint smile. He doesn't say much else, but does raise a brow as Demyx mentions stopping rain mid-fall. He... He's serious? But then again, Demyx is right. Rain is still water, and Demyx can control it. So he would be able to stop it, wouldn't he?
