One more final and i am halfway to becoming a lawyer. Thats scary. I'm really looking forward to being home for a while and seeing family and friends. And looking for a summer job, because thats what law students do over Christmas break. I miss the college days where summers were actually about relaxing, now if you are not doing something legal related every second people will look at you your resume and say "hmmmmm it seems you WASTED AN ENTIRE SUMMER you lazy bum, no job for you". On a random tangent of both jobs and law finals I just finished my corporations final, the last subject of which was executive compensation. I want to know what is the career track to being a corporate executive? Cause the compensation and perks are insane. For anyone who does not remember the big Disney litigation a couple of years back it goes like this Disney CEO Michael Eisner hires his good friend Michael Orvitz as President of Disney who works for 13 months and then quits receiving a, wait for it, 140 million dollar severance package. And the courts were fine with it. Ironically, the night before my exam i took a break to watch Family Guy and the episode where Peter and Stewie are chased through Disney world ala Temple of Doom was on.
Stewie: "Its Michael Eisner! Cover your heart!"
Eisner: "Kali Ma! Kali Ma!"
Peter: "You betrayed the shareholder!"
Eisner: Falls to death "Ahhhhhh"
