Court observation
If you have any remaining illusions about the dignity and ideals of our court system just visit the DC Superior Court.
Judge: Since the defendant hasn't shown up we are going to postpone this for the day.
Plaintiff: What do i do with this (holding a large black garbage bag)
Judge: What is it?
Plaintiff: Its the evidence. First i thought it was the cat doing it but now i'm sure this is human urine.
Judge: you can't leave that here.
Plaintiff: But what do i do with it?
Judge: Well you can ask the legal services office but i already know what they are going to tell you.
And I still have nine hours of observation left.
