Wow. I think I should have a few drinks every Thursday night before doing my controls homework. It just seemed to make a whole lot more sense...

How have you all been? I know you're just dying with curiosity as to what I've been up to these last few weeks...

Not a whole lot really. At least, nothing I can really remember. Last weekend was the (in)famous 90's party. I donned some pretty sweet neon iridenscent surf gear. Oh, and a fanny pack, of course.

School's been alright. It's school. My two favorite classes are un-ME-related - Modern Architecture, Technology, and Society; and Introduction to Film. Apparently, I have a knack for "reading" architecture (seeing how history and societal values, and technological advances help influence a building's architecture). And my film teacher is as big of a movie nerd as I am. And he doesn't wear socks. I have a feeling I might end up like him when I grow old...and I'm excited.

I think I'm gonna retire from designing anything for the school. At least, not without getting paid. I designed a logo for the Solar House Team, but apparently it wasn't good enough. I was going for a technical quality to the design, almost like it's an engineered drawing (symmetrical, lines radiating at equal angles, concentric circles). Some people saw it, but some people didn't. You be the judge:

Pssh, sorry, I guess I just don't take disapproval well.

Anyways, in about twelve hours I'll be on my way to the airport. Where am I off to? *Clap clap* Deep in the heeaaart of Texas. I'm stoked. But I think I'm more excited about the actual travelling to Texas than being in Texas itself. I can't really explain why, but I absolutely love flying. And it's not just flying, I love the whole procedure, from checking in all the way to landing. I love airports. I think when I become filthy rich, and I have a month to kill, I'm going to visit airports around the world. I'll buy a ticket to somewhere, and when I land, I'll buy another ticket to another airport in another city. Of course, I'll stay in that city for a lil while to experience the sights, sounds, and tastes...but only for a lil while.

Scott says I'm going to be put on the terrorist watch list. It'll look like I'm casing the world...awesome.

In other travelling news: I'm going to Chicago at the end of October. October 27-29 specifically. It's a field trip (man, I don't remember the last time I went on one) for my architecture class...and it'll only cost $50 (includes travel and hotel expenses)! If anyone knows of anything awesome going on in town that weekend, let me know. And if anyone wants to come with, let me know about that too (it's $50 for UMR students, and unfortunately $200 for any outsiders...we can't spend UMR funding on non-UMR students afterall). And in November sometime, I'm going to go see Spamalot...well, it's only in St. Louis, but I think it's still note-worthy.

I'm also going to go to Miami sometime this year. Not sure when exactly, but I will. I really want to go back to Cedar Point in Ohio...but preferably not when it's ridiculously cold and rainy. And at this point, I'm pretty sure I'm dead-set on going to Europe this summer.

Well, that about wraps up this edition. Until next time.
