I know I promised I wouldn't stay up past 4am...I'm sorry.
I've spent the past hour on the Dick Blick website just perusing through art supplies. Now you may not think that sounds terribly exciting, but I think it is. I would have spent more time going through it and wishing I had the money to buy a lot of the stuff on that site, but I heard the Full House opening theme behind me and realized the time...
Lately I've been wondering if I should have pursued something in art. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not regretting choosing mechanical engineering as my major. I like my classes, I find them interesting, and not to sound cocky or anything, but I'm capable of undertanding the material quite well. I'm happy with the choice I made. But I can't shake the thought that maybe I would have been happier doing something more art-oriented. Even architectural engineering. I actually had to choose between pursuing architectural engineering and mechanical before I came to Rolla, and I ultimately (and obviously) chose mechanical. But if for some reason (though I doubt I'll drop out of it now, now that I'm more than halfway done with it) I decide to leave the ME program, I'd switch to architectural engineering, no question about it.
But anyways, I should stop before I get to carried away with the subject and end up writing for another hour...
I got the new Sigur Rós album, "Takk..." It's a wonderful album, and I think it's probably their best album to date. Though, "Vaka" and "Njósnavélin" from their ( ) album will remain my all-time favorite songs of their's.
This Wednesday night, I'm in charge of "family dinner," dinner for the whole house. I'm not quite sure what I'll be making...but I'll figure something out tomorrow after work.
Speaking of which...I have to go to work in six hours, so I should be heading to bed now. Hopefully, none of the SoMEER labs ordered another seven ton furnace over the weekend...
