Yes, I'm back from the lost world of WORKING!!!!
Been along time in coming, but I have decided to join the world once again and not get so caught up in my job.
We had a really tough summer with another accidental death in the water with a very special diver. I have now been at my job
in DC for a year and and half. This is the second time we have lost a diver who was one of the best in the world. So sad and scary too.
Then one of my co workers gets a HUGE promotion to become my boss's boss! SVP- only sad part was that I ADORED my boss
as he was one of those special people who are kind, understanding and not micro managing everything you do! I think he is one of the 3 top people I have ever worked for. He was the reason I took this position as I knew the workload and challenges on a daily basis would be
difficult to manage.
So, enough about work- BJD world still calls to me and I have tried very hard to "thin" out my collection.. However now whenever I post one of my beloveds for sale, it is with great sadness as I adore each and every one I have.
The reason for the "thinning" is that I am going to japan on a special Volks trip!
The focus of the trip is to share with the FDQ staff the craftsmanship that Volks applies to their fabulous BJDs.
That way we can use this knowledge to continue US support during the next Dolpa in the US, and to expand the awareness of our readers and the collecting community at large.
Volks is hosting a group of us and I can't wait to see Kyoto and visit Sato. (of course want to gather all the dough I can to spend in Japan)
So will be posting at least once a week and still "lurking" at all the wonderful posts and updates on LJ.
Miss you all and can't wait to spend more time with you online.
PS- still trying to get my twitter up and running as that is probably the best way to keep in touch while in Japan next month!
