as I understand it, virtual memory is related to RAM, which actually has little to do with your hard drive. More than likely, you're running too many programs at the same time (or there's some random process that's eating up your RAM) and your computer's spazzing. If you're only running two or three programs, it's probably some process that just eating up RAM. Restart should fix it.
Virtual memory is actually to do with your hard disk......it is memory created by your hard disk to act as...well...memory... u can set the size for it and all.... while ram has to do with all the important stuff os run,procs...... virtual mem is used in multi tasking and all the other small stuff...it shouldn't be a problem...i would suggest that u just let the system do what it wants to do..... You DO NOT need to delete stuff.... its automatic.....if u have enough space, it will add VrMem... if u dont have sapce, it will stop at default size... If u really want to optimize the system by adding more mem, http://www.techarp.com/showarticle.aspx?artno=143 This site should be helpful....but i wouldnt bet on it...i havent tried it out since i never needed memory.... here is a link if u want to know more...its a bit outdated...but its what i learned with...the new coms/OS have better mem management and lots of cool features.....^^ The link : Reply
