I feel liberated! Sort of. We received word (we being me and the guys) that the city of Blackpool has officially lifted their Rolling Stones ban. About fucking time, if I do say so myself. Even though, we didn't particularly care if they ever did or not, because after 44 years, I'd say we did pretty well without worrying about performing a gig there. We were just kids when it happened too, back in 64. It wasn't even our fault, either. They should've banned their young people from being bloody nutjobs instead. They rioted after a show, tore down some chandeliers and wrecked a piano, no big deal really, nobody died. Someone did spit at Brian though, but who cares? I'VE spit at Brian.
Joke's on Blackpool though, I've been there on numerous occasions since the ban. Can't keep me away!
We'll see about ever playing a show there. But it was nice of them to wait 44 fucking years to lift the ban, since, you know, half those fans aren't even there anymore and we're still the trouble-making long haired kids from London we always were. I'll never understand the government.
