Drabble- Monday Mornings
Monday mornings have never been Chanyeol's thing. In fact, it's one of those things on the top of his 'hate' list that he doesn't need to highlight to notice. There was just something about waking up on Monday morning that he hated so much. Maybe it was dreadful feeling that he had to wait another four days just to get to another weekend. Or maybe it was the dreaded feeling that he was getting older by every Monday and he won't be able to forget that fact until he reached Friday night.
Even so, he still has to drag himself out of the comfort of his fluffy bed, because at moments like this, life is a bitch and so is his mother.
This Monday morning was no different. He woke up thinking the sun was obviously shining a little brighter than usual just to taunt him out of bed. He tripped over his two own feet on his way to his closet, taking a quick tour into his beautifully dusty carpet, face first.He had to shower in cold water because his sister had finished all the hot water. what the heck, woman?!
He forgot to do revision for the economy pop quiz his lecturer was about to give in the next few hours.And to top it all off, he left his lunch and notebook behind as he sprinted out of his house to catch his bus.
Fuck it.
All in all, he really hates Monday mornings.
"Good morning, Chanyeol-ah~"
Ah but you see, as much as he hates Monday mornings, there was this one teensy weensy thing aboout Monday mornings that made it all up to him.
"Good morning to you too, Baekhyun-ah~" He smiled plopping himself down into his usual seat.He beamed down at the boy sitting beside him,wondering how in the world a plain grey tee and a pair of faded jeans could look so good on someone.
Oh Dear Lord he's wearing eye liner MUST.CONTAIN.FEELS.
"How was your weekend?" The smaller boy asked.Chanyeol blanked out for a moment because dammit Baekhyun was smiling at him and it's definitely (and pleasantly) brighter than the annoyingly-brighter-than-usual-just-to-taunt-him-on-monday-mornings sun.He regained his composure after an embarrassing moment of sheer staring.
"It's was okay. Just the usual." He answered, trying not to show his embarrassment of staring. Baekhyun smiled again. Dammit stop that. You'll be the death of me.
"Mine was boring. I really wanted to hang out with you, but I had to help my mom at the shop. I missed you." Bakhyun grinned cheekily, chuckling when his best friend had that usual spacing-out-but-still-with-the-shit-eating-grin look on his face.
Chanyeol feels like jumping out of the bus window and soaring away to Neverlands.
Yup Chanyeol hated Monday mornings with a blazing passion, but Baekhyun certainly manages to turn it all around every single time.
