Poor and mediocre

Did anyone besides me think that this year's Oscars ceremony was rather boring and akward?? In fact those are kind words, I think the whole show was awful.

I'm a fan of Chris Rock's raunchy standup but I think his censored homour was out of place with the spirit and feel of the Oscars ceremony. For a show that is watched by a billion people around the world...many of them probably couldn't understand much of what he said, especially those of an older age bracket.

The presentation styles were rather cheezy and strange with "non-important" nominees being to made to stand all onstage or introduced while seated with winners accepting in the middle of the crowd versus the stage podium.

When Halle Berry and Denzel won in 2002, they called it the "black Oscars." I think 2005 topped that year as the blackest Oscars ever. I wasn't sure if I was watching the Oscars or a Beyoncee concert. Why the Hell did she perform 3 separate times???...overkill man.

The best moment of the night I think was when Jamie Foxx won for "Ray." I believe he gave the most engaging acceptance speech of the night. Hopefully they'll find a better host for next year.
