adjklhdfgjhkdfgjhksdf I do actually use the journal for comms and stuff. >.> I just never post. or check the flist.
now is the time for the rebirthing of dreams!(or something. getting a dream in the first place which involves something else other than eating ice-cream on a pacific beach would be good. OH. COCONUT SHELL DRINKS. :Db)
Well I actually ate ice cream at the (Atlantic) beach where I went on vacation this weekend, but otherwise probably not much else interesting has happened since then. ;D
rofl YOU'RE LIVING THE DREAM. which atlantic beach? :DD
although, second thought I did have ice-cream at a baltic sea port a few weeks ago. and a little child looked at me with envy. it was a good day. XDD
I know, it always seems like nothing has happened for ages when you're supposed to talk about it, but while it's happening you can talk for hours about the same thing. :P
d'aww, but my rl friend B is always sweet-talking her dear north carolina XD surely it must have a good bit. like, a few feet or so. >.>
what's your favourite type of ice-cream, btw? I've become such a snob, I only have ben&jerry's when I'm in the UK, and then I think that I'll only get it if they have chocolate macadamia... which they stopped stocking in any of the supermarkets I frequent. thus my life has been sad and ice-cream-less. D:
yup, and we also do a lot of auto-editing and deletion. there isn't enough space to remember everything that has happened when new stuff is about to happen. XD (have you ever gone through your calendar and been gobsmacked at the sheer amount of stuff you've done?)
I checked them out, I was amused WHERE DID YOU GET YOUR CRABS? XDDD
dfgjkhdfjhk I have never heard of cardamom ice cream before, but that sounds divine. *____________* (I just make sticky buns with cardamom in them... nom nom) then you must have found the fountain of ice cream awesomeness. :O OMG, HAVE YOU HAD GELATO?? it's like. incredible. it's magical b/c you eat it faster than it melts, for srs. XD my flatmate came back from a weekend in rome and was all "I had 13 different types of gelato in 2 days, I'm going to be sick for a week."
no, I haven't... although going to turkey is deffo on my list of things to do XDD
nope, just casual observations of life, the universe, and everything. :P (although, I think being analytical must be quite good for characterization in writing. :P)
ROFL And did you check them before or after I just posted the photo of the UFO in someone's yard? :P
I have had gelato but don't like it because I don't like the aftertaste. HOWEVER there is a gelato place in New York City where it doesn't have aftertaste, and that WAS incredible.
I would like to go to Turkey too, though making it to some city in the US where they sell it is probably more realistic than dreaming of eating ice cream on a Mediterranean beach. XD
Sorry for butting in without being asked, but I have had a traumatic experience with Turkish ice cream that this is a good moment to share. :-)
So yes, what you've been told is true: Turkish ice cream is indeed stretchy. You know the tough skin that forms on top of non-stretchy ice-cream when it's really old? That icky chewy skin?
Imagine the ice-cream being made of just that old, stretchy skin. That's what Turkish ice cream is like.
No problem at all. Random helpful information is always a plus!
I actually don't know about that stuff on old ice cream (it never lasts more than two days when I buy it), but it sounds gross.
I would still like to try Turkish ice cream sometime to see what it is like, but after hearing your description, I probably won't make any special trips to obtain some. ;)

Not my thing, in other words. :-)
