the weekend at home
This weekend was pretty good. I left Friday afternoon to go home with my dad and I got to drive for the first time in almost a month so that was good. There was a maaaaajor accident on 20, fire trucks, ambulances, medivac helicopter and all, and they weren't even letting people pass so we had to take a different way home. Talked a lot. Had a really good homecooked dinner, went to services Saturday, slept a LOT in my own bed, and got up late Sunday. That would be today. Yes anyway went to Best Buy and Target to get a CD, laser pointer batteries, and some candy to take back to school, then I loaded the car and my mom and dad went back with me after a quick Dairy Queen stop. Oh yeah my mom knows that I drink now, that was much less traumatic than I expected it to be. She was like so have you been to parties? Yeah. Have you drunk? Uhh yeah a little... You shouldn't. That was the end of that. (Ok that was a weak story but if you knew my mom you'd understand why I was surprised.) What else...I never drove my car, only my dad's Camry, which probably comes as a surprise to those of you who know how much I love my car. Hmm...on the way back I got pulled over for the first time ever...yeah 53 in a 35, damn the popo. (That was bs by the way, I DEFINITELY wasn't going that fast and it was DEFINITELY was a 45 zone...I can't confirm either of those...) And it was with both of my parents in the car, which I'm not sure whether was good or bad...it might have made me look better in front of the cop, I dunno. Anyway he seemed pretty pissed but thanks to the sweet-talking efforts of my dad and I, and my mom for once keeping her trap shut in the back, I narrowly ecaped a $175 (!!!) speeding ticket. Residential areas can suck it. Well I'm back to my other home and preparing for another grueling week of work...yay. But hopefully the weekend will make it worth it...:)
