Insert loud cheers and yells of happiness
I got two of my photos into the Rollins Show! this is cause for much happiness. i can celebrate now, because i had to have the pieces turned in last night, so the past few days have been a lesson in fast framing and matting. the show opens tommorow, and the official opening ceremony is on the 14th. then i find out if i won anything, or if Fsu wants to buy one of the pieces. i'm not expecting that, but i am happy to just have another gallery credit. the show will also be included in the First Friday gallery hop tommorow night, so i think that i'll go on the trolley and have an artful night. i'd really like to get a group going, if anyone's interested.
besides photo shows, i have been sick all week, as has Derek. this awful flu bug thing has infected the two of us, as well as everyone in tallahassee, it seems. at least everyone at the mall has been sick in the last week. it also doesn't help that derek and scott's air conditioning has busted yet AGAIN, and so their house is a million degrees. and Amber is sick, so my house isn't any better. it just makes you want to bathe in Germ-X.
